It looked odd, and he took a photograph and threw it back, Mr. Scott Robinson, a fisheries operations manager with Georgia’s Wildlife Resources Division, said that department officials were contacted late last week by a fisherman who had dropped a line and lure in a pond on private property near Lilburn, a city of about 11,000 people in Gwinnett County. And this week, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources announced that its turn had come: A northern snakehead, one species of the fish, was found for the first time in the state, reeled in last week by a man in Gwinnett County. Snakeheads, which are not indigenous to the United States, have nevertheless cropped up in 15 states, even after the ban. “These fish are like something from a bad horror movie,” Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton said in 2002 when she proposed a ban on the import and interstate transportation of the “voracious” live snakehead fish in the United States. There has been no end to the creepy descriptions of the snakehead fish, a slimy, toothy, large-jawed animal that can breathe on land and crawl like a snake, in the decades that it has popped up in freshwater lakes, ponds and rivers in the United States. It was described as “a companion for the Creature from the Black Lagoon” when it appeared in Maryland, as “Frankenfish” when it was caught in Virginia and as the “freshwater fish equivalent of a tank” when it showed up in the Harlem Meer in New York. ![]() Fireside pizza squaw valley9/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Ray also had a ton of help from his Father. ![]() Ray is a 20 year restaurant veteran including - California Pizza Kitchen, Boston Market, the California Restaurant Association and even a short time as President of Blimpies. is the brainchild of long time friends Ray Villaman and Ted Kennedy. This really comes in handy for adding specific features a Streamer might want to have. OBS Studio is an open-source software, which means anyone has access to the code and can build add-ons for it. During my time playing the game, I have experienced the occasional glitch when running the ball too close to my own teammates, and there are still troubling bugs with specific plays (such as the infamous fake FB handoff to HB toss, where the quarterback starts the animation, then stops and stands there waiting to be sacked). There are still many animations that you will see over and over, but the collision and responsiveness feels better than ever. EA Sports has propped up nothing-features with fancy names in the past (remember vision cones?), but there’s a lot more meat on the bone with this one. It’s still not a perfect simulation of football, but what I initially perceived as a more difficult game was actually a better-defined set of rules around its gameplay that is the most rewarding and true-to-life the franchise has ever offered. The colorful lighting isn't just for show-it quickly became the way I navigated the corridors of the Strogg base, remembering I needed to pass through a striking red room to get back to a previously locked door. Playing Quake 2 RTX absolutely gives Quake 2 a different feel, but I think it uses the technology in ways id's developers would've tried themselves if they could have back in 1997. "Subtle" for the time was probably referencing the fact that some enemies will double over in pain when you shoot them, which in 1998 passed for realism but in 2021 is a little comical when it happens every single time. PC Gamer called it "the most sensational and subtle shooter ever" in a 1998 list of the 50 best games of all time, where it took third place. It was still amazing tech for 1997, of course. There are wall sconces and bits of colored lighting here and there, but they never stand out, or cast a glow throughout the room they're in. Quake 2's color palette is dominated by browns and grays, with the occasional exciting bit of glowing red lava. Quake 2 RTX's simple geometry and textures put all the focus on the lighting, and in doing so completely transform the game. The lighting and reflections may look amazing, but everything else is already so detailed it's hard for them to really stand out. In modern cutting-edge games like Control or Cyberpunk 2077, ray tracing is like the shiny cherry on top of a realism sundae. ![]() AuthorWrite something about yourself.
